ACCESSIBILITY INFO
Coming to McPike Park?
You should know that there will not be an ADA shuttle from the park to the Capitol. It’s a gathering point, not part of the program for the day.
Coming straight to the Capitol?
The rally starts at 3:00, but we recommend that you get there by 2:30 before the marchers arrive. Watching them approach the Capitol at No Kings in June was really exciting.
ADA Seating
ADA seating will be available on the sides of the stage. Come up the sidewalk along the E. Washington Ave. driveway to reach it.
If you’re coming from inside the Capitol, take the exit to E. Washington Ave. There’s a ramp and ADA push buttons to open the doors.
Volunteers will be available to assist you at the seating area.
Parking near the Capitol
There's a lot going on in Madison on Oct. 18th. (Go Badgers!) Allow extra time for parking. The City of Madison provides information about parking for persons with disabilities at Accessibility | Parking | City of Madison, WI.
Consider taking the bus
Madison Metro Transit offers many accessibility features, so almost anyone can take the bus to McPike Park or to the Capitol. See our doc about transportation including riding BRT (Bus Rapid Transit). Get details from Madison Metro Transit about accessibility at https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules/bus-rapid-transit/brt-station-accessibility-features
All of this is pretty expensive
